Job Title \xe2\x80\x93 Principal - Systems Engineering As of today, this group manages 68+ Petabyte of storage also supports the infrastructure backups and take care the day-to-day operation work end to end. The Purpose of This Role The identified resource will need to be capable enough to handle the Storage and Data-Protection technology and in constant verbal and written contact with key stakeholders and peers in India and U.S. The resource is expected to attend weekly staff meetings, where they will be expected to engage in technical discussions. The Value You Deliver As a SAN and File & Object Engineer he/she is responsible for Day-to-day engineering tasks like critical project deliveries, POCs and product certifications. He/She is also responsible for the oversight of the Storage / Fabric and File & Object environment managed by the operations team. He/She also will be the escalation point for all File & Object related issues and close engagement with vendor for driving critical / long pending issues to closure. The Skills that are Key to this role Technical / Behavioral

• Excellent knowledge on Problem Management (ITLI)
• Should have deep investigation skills
• Identify root cause of repeated incidents and own problem tickets
• Working with Operations, Engineering and Vendors
• Documentation skills (technical)
• Knowledge on AIOPS and Predictive Analysis is added advantage
• Expertise Knowledge of storage subsystems and SAN infrastructure is must.
• Good working knowledge on NAS / CAS / ECS is must.
• Good working knowledge on SAN Switches.
• Good Knowledge on Dev-Ops Skills is added advantage
• Good Knowledge on AWS / Azure technology.
• Knowledge of any LVM product (Aix LVM, ZFS, etc.)
• Administrative knowledge of one or more primary operating systems
• Good verbal and written communication
• Technologies:
  • Storage Arrays: PURE, Infinidat, IBM and 3PAR
  • NAS: Netapp and Infinidat
  • SAN Fabric: Broacade
  • Data Protection / Backup: Commvault
  • Object storage: CEPH

The Skills that are Good to Have for this role

• Understanding of Emerging technologies and end-user needs.
• Experience in managing Product/vendor life cycle management
• Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes such as Jenkins.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as a Service, Infrastructure as Code, and related concepts on the public cloud.
• Knowledge of any Unix flavor is added advantage

This group is responsible for managing File & Object infrastructure across all the Business Units in Fidelity. The responsibilities also extend to the cloud (AWS / Azure) environment.
