Description: Located in Chennai or Bangalore. You will manage the relation with a number of software suppliers to assure high levels of quality performance: through initial supplier assessments, project quality management and driving continuous quality improvements. Integrated in the Indirect Procurement department, this is a good opportunity to establish strong interaction with multiple software supplier companies, to work across multiple projects and disciplines in Visteon, and to have exposure to the commercial and contractual aspects of the business. DUTIES AND SKILLS Drive the supplier quality processes on assigned globally-distributed software suppliers. Conduct audits on current/new software suppliers, supporting Software category procurement strategy. Identify technical opportunities in the supply base. Support Project Teams in contract reviews. Agree Project key indicators for SW Suppliers with Program Team and Engineering Quality team to assure successful project launch. Lead SW Supplier Risk Assessments at project level, to identify the right quality assurance activities required for each supplier. Drive Project Quality process with SW suppliers, supporting project timeline and goals. Monitor supplier performance through key indicators and performance surveys. Lead suppliers to develop robust action plans to address low performance and assure continuous improvement. Drive suppliers in the preparation of 8D\'s (Problem Solving) to address supplier issues by Visteon plants or Customers during launch or warranty period. Drive supply base to meet Visteon IATF16949 requirements (ISO-9001, SPICE, ISMS certifications) guiding suppliers, if required, in quality disciplines such as Quality Assurance, 8D and software standards. Support SPICE assessments and QMS audits in SW Supplier Quality process. Contribute to identify opportunities to improve Visteon SW Supplier Quality processes and tools. Qualifications and experience Software-related university degree. Alternatively, other degrees may be considered if balanced with the right experience in Automotive, Software or Supplier Management domains.. 3-5 years experience in the software engineering area, preferable in Automotive. Experience in Agile teams is desirable. Certified in SPICE assessor (Provisional Level) is desirable. ISTQB certificate (Foundation Level) is desirable. Knowledge in some of these domains is considered as advantage: ISO 26262, Security standards, Agile Development. Requirements Engineering and related tools. Software Test knowledge. MISRA C. Experience in usual SW Engineering tools (DNG, Jenkins, Git, Rhapsody, Jira, ..). Software quality assurance concepts 8D Problem Solving. Awareness about Intellectual Property & Royalties. Personal skills and attributes: Good organization skills. Result-driven within a time constrained project environment. Good interpersonal / communication / negotiation skills at all levels (oral, writing, presentation), being able to build up strong communications with suppliers and with other Visteon functions. Dynamic and proactive. Ability to prioritize workload and work under pressure. Flexible, easily adapting to change and new business requirements. Ability to identify creative solutions. Fluid english. Quality mindset with focus on continuous improvement.
