• Design, evaluate, and plan highly complex architecture for DBMS solutions.
• Orchestrates large-scale deployments of database infrastructure using automation tools
• Establishes and maintains security and integrity controls and standards for DBMS solutions
• Formulates and monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to database management.
• Proposes and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.
• Responsible for maintaining and updating significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles.
• Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Having broad expertise or unique knowledge, uses skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.
• Responsible for recommending the future engineering solutions of database systems, including referential architecture and technical roadmaps.
• Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Internal and external contacts often pertain to company plans and objectives.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 6 years relevant experience as an Automation Solution engineer or DB architect, maintaining and supporting large cloud or on premise ecosystems
• Proven exposure to following
  • Process / Automation: Ansible, Docker, Jenkins, Service Now
  • Monitoring / Orchestration: OEM/Prometheus/Zabbix
  • Programming: Java, Python, Perl, PL/SQL, C/C++, Shell
  • Database: Oracle RAC, MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Couchbase, Firestore, Spanner
  • Cloud: AWS, Google, Terraform
• Ability to solution/engineer very large and complex architectures. Works across technologies and architecture groups within Sabre to achieve results. Experience and deep knowledge with database solutions in the cloud.
• Strong replication skills, security, back-up and recovery, logical and physical database design, capacity planning and data retention.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously; ability to delegate work to subordinate or less experienced team members; able to work across Sabre leadership.
