We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Solution Architect / SRE Director to lead our software development initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of solution architecture and site reliability engineering (SRE) principles, with a proven track record of delivering scalable and reliable software solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker who can align technology with business goals and drive innovation within the organization. Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of robust solution architectures that meet business requirements and enhance system reliability.
• Oversee the SRE team, ensuring best practices in monitoring, incident response, and system performance optimization.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to define and implement software development processes that improve efficiency and quality.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance the software development lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in software development and architecture.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to deliver high quality solutions on time.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven experience in solution architecture with a strong focus on software development.
• Extensive knowledge of site reliability engineering principles and practices.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, automation).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Knowledge of security best practices in software development.
• Experience in leading large scale software projects and teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on solution architecture and SRE.
• Relevant certifications in cloud architecture or SRE (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect) are a plus.
