: Job Title Principal - Software Engineering The Purpose of This Role We have an outstanding opportunity for a Principal - Software Engineering to be part of an exciting engagement in the Fidelity. You will be joining a team that is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of enterprise wide solutions.Person should have 7-10 years of IT experience, exposure to ServiceNow Event management would be an added advantage. The Value You Deliver Driving technical vision and initiative with US partners, architects, and prototyping, getting buy-in from cross-geography teams Setting, communicating, and reinforcing technical standards Providing leadership for junior and senior engineers alike, by understanding how to leverage and enhance their current skills Assessing and researching current implementations of the platform and determining the course of action required to elevate the platform to meet organization needs. Taking the business requirements coupled with existing architecture to set a technical vision for features and major components and clearly articulating the evolutionary steps to achieve it Working with Operations to plan major infrastructure upgrades, to troubleshoot issues and to tune the environment for optimal performance and uptime Collaborating with peers and management on process improvement ideas, policy and procedure enhancements, and opportunities to improve our customer\'s service experience. Participating in code review and unit testing and providing support on issues in non-prod or production Maintain the documents related to the group and contribute to Knowledge Management articles for better Operations practice. The Skills that are Key to this role Technical / Behavioral Hands on experience in Java technologies including Spring Boot, Restful API ..etc Agile environment work experience preferred Strong oral and written communication skills Good Soft Skills for customer empathy. Technical aptitude and ability to continually evolve systems support skills. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to maintain good working relationships with India and onsite partner teams. Exposure to cloud computing is nice to have. The Skills that are Good To Have for this role You have a desire and aptitude for learning new technologies Deep understanding of the enterprise software development process including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing Excellent verbal and written communication skills and participate in critical design and implementation discussions Knowledge of Git stash, Jenkins, JIRA, Eclipse, DevOps process ITIL certification will be an added advantage How Your Work Impacts the Organization This is a part of EI Technology management Services. This group provides Service and Support management and monitoring solution for the enterprise. The project deals with ITSM Services, Event management, automation, and Support. Currently the group is undertaking a major project refactoring ServiceNow platform and build/deploy an AI based event management system. The Expertise We\'re Looking For Understanding of Service Management process.
