The Consumption Billing team in purview builds at scale components enabling pay as you go billing for multiple Purview solutions. This is an at scale infra capability with 6 9s of reliability. We build components that enable the smooth flow and aggregation of billing events as well as purview solution reporting, estimators to ensure that customers can clearly understand their own usage and value they are deriving from the various capabilities. As a principal engineer in this team, you will be responsible for defining this high scale reliable architecture and ensuring that various solution teams can quickly onboard and derive value with as less Microsoft's mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Qualifications

Required/Minimym qualifications

Expertise/Experience- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and common Design Patterns 10+ years of relevant software development experience and proficient in C# (Java or C++) Ability to communicate technical details clearly across organizational boundaries. Experience in DevOps to maintain live services andor application frameworks. Cloud and services experience, with Azure cloud experience highly desirable. Analytical skills with systematic and structured approach to software design. Experience with CI/CD pipeline using agile practices Ability to quickly ramp up on multiple technology areas

Essential qualifications

- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering OR equivalent years of work experience.

Responsibilities include:

You will be responsible to perform investigations and investments in complex areas; designing and delivering features end to end - including system architecture, code, deployment, scale, performance and quality, from conception to delivery. Design and implement scalable, reliable, maintainable services Demonstrate strategic understanding of the timing and rationale for design choices, within the scope of work. Consistently contribute key ideas to the product or service design and vision that meets the customer's needs Drive design reviews across the team and apply expertise in available technologies metrics to drive the quality and stability of code
