Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer - Power Platform with extensive expertise in Dynamics 365, Power Platform governance, enterprise administration, and Copilot Studio development. This role will provide technical leadership, architectural direction, and governance strategy for the organization's Power Platform ecosystem. The Principal Engineer will drive platform adoption, oversee large-scale solution lifecycle management, ensure compliance and security, and foster innovation in low-code/no-code and AI-enabled development.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Governance & Compliance
Define and enforce
enterprise-wide Power Platform governance frameworks
, including environment strategies, DLP policies, security models, and compliance standards.
Partner with IT leadership to align governance policies with
regulatory requirements
(e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO).
Establish and oversee Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) practices and
CI/CD pipelines
for enterprise Power Platform solutions.
Platform Architecture & Administration
Lead the design and administration of Power Platform environments, connectors, and gateways, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
Architect and optimize integration with
Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365 services (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive), and Azure ecosystems

Guide the implementation of
automation, monitoring, and performance optimization
for adoption, usage, and anomaly detection.
Provide
technical direction for Copilot Studio governance and development
, enabling secure, responsible AI-driven apps and chatbots.
Operational Excellence & Innovation
Drive
platform adoption strategy
across business units, enabling developments while maintaining governance controls.
Develop and maintain
executive-level Power BI dashboards
for platform performance, usage analytics, and compliance reporting.
Oversee
resilience strategies
for Power Platform (backup, disaster recovery, continuity planning).
Introduce
emerging features (AI Builder, Copilot, advanced analytics)
to accelerate business transformation.
Leadership & Enablement
Serve as a
technical authority and subject matter expert
on Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
Provide
Level 3 expert support
for escalated Power Platform incidents and service requests.
Mentor developers, app makers, and members of the
Center of Excellence (CoE)
, promoting best practices and reusability.
Conduct governance reviews, workshops, and training to foster responsible and effective use of Power Platform solutions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
10+ years of IT experience
, including at least
5+ years in Power Platform governance, administration, and enterprise solution delivery

Strong expertise in
Dynamics 365 administration and integration with Power Platform
.
Proven experience establishing
Power Platform governance models
(environment strategy, DLP, compliance, security roles).
Hands-on experience with
Copilot Studio governance and AI-driven solution development

Deep technical knowledge of
Dataverse, Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven), Power Automate, Power Pages, and Power BI administration
.
Proficiency with
PowerShell, APIs, and automation frameworks
for administration and monitoring.
Expertise in
ALM, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
for Power Platform.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
