Who You\'ll Work With You\'ll be based in one of our listed India offices and will be part of the Social, Healthcare and Public Entities (SHaPE) practice. You will collaborate with our SHaPE Analytics teams in other technology hubs in Chicago, New York, and San Jose, Costa Rica. Our SHaPE Analytics group leverages a big-data analytics platform that includes 100 terabytes of integrated claim, encounter, clinical, consumer, and other data. The team consists of 100 dedicated experts and 250 affiliated professionals with industry, advanced analytics, statistics, clinical, and software expertise, all of whom work to design, deliver, and operate advanced analytic tools to help social, public and healthcare clients around the world. The SHaPE practice is one of 10 industry practices within the firm and has a mission of measurably improving individuals\' lives, livelihoods and health and creating safer and more just communities around the world. Through self-service access to analytics and data, software as a service solutions, strategic acquisitions and a vibrant ecosystem of alliances, we are redefining what it means to work with McKinsey.What You\'ll Do You will drive architecture design and technology decisions for shaping next generation products for various teams, ensure that we stay on the leading edge of technology and more. In this role, you will also be responsible for leading one or multiple development teams to enable our products to be market leading solutions. By leveraging engineering frameworks and best practices, you will design and develop core data frameworks and enable software capabilities used by data engineers, data scientists, consulting teams and external clients. You will partner with product management to define technology implementation and roadmaps for one or more engineering teams, advising on the technology stack, improvements in our software development processes and elevating the teams\' health and performance. You will enable cloud technologies and build expertise in our designated cloud service providers to leverage the most appropriate technologies that will achieve our objectives. Taking into consideration current state solutions and skillsets, you will collaborate with leadership to define an incremental and achievable technology transformation of our assets. You will build broad relationships and connect directly with complex problems we solve for our clients across the globe. You will be a thought partner that communicates effectively across a broad range of stakeholder groups from engineers to business users and can connect to business and operational implications.Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in computer science or equivalent area advanced degree is a plus 8+ years of professional experience in software development. Strong application development knowledge of full application stack with some of the following stacks: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Node.js/Next.js, Ruby on Rails, Golang 3+ years of building data products on AWS stack Work on other cloud providers is a plus 3+ years of implementing data pipelines or data-intensive assets using SQL and Python 3+ years of experience with data modelling and data warehousing concepts, using distributed data processing engines such as Apache Spark (Pyspark), Hive 3+ years of performance tuning experience on bigdata ecosystems Well versed with compute and storage technologies that enable bigdata workloads Knowledge of CI/CD principles and tools, experience with containers (Docker) Ability to navigate technical challenges for self and team Experience delivering solutions through an Agile delivery methodology (Comfort with ambiguity and rapid changes common in early-stage product development) Ability to understand complex systems and solve challenging analytical problems Familiarity with Databricks and snowflake is a plus Healthcare domain knowledge/ interest in healthcare is a plus Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
