Your reporting line: You will be reporting the Executive Manager of Bankwest Technology, CBA India. Your responsibilities: As a Principal Software Engineer within Bankwest Tech team, the primary purpose of the role is to lead, drive, promote, engineer and implement solutions. You are required to bring team together for technical discussion and drive the desired outcome by resolving / highlighting roadblock for the delivery. You are to drive and continuously improve the tools and process that automate the delivery of code through Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines which include the build, testing and deployment capabilities. In essence, ensuring time to market for solution is very short. Solid experience working in a build and execution capacity. Ability to influence senior leaders such as EM/GM level regarding the technology roadmap and strategies. Driving automation through understanding processes and implementing improvements Strong presentation, verbal communication, and written communications skills Presenting your work to peers in your immediate team and to engineers, scientists, and managers across the broader Software Engineering community Ownership and governance of solution designs Provide developmental advice and consult for business case/ideation, discovery, inception and enhancement requests by examining current vs target architectures ensuring align with ES strategy and architecture standards. Collaborate with upstream and downstream system representatives to ensure an integrated end to end solution is delivered to achieve the desired outcomes. Effectively lead and influence business partners, peers, team members and vendors. Continually learning modern technology best practices and bring them back to the group. Go above and beyond in improving quality and performance in the delivery of efficient, reliable and maintainable application and solutions that meet design and requirements specifications for technology projects. We Are Looking For : A proven track record in working across both business and technology stakeholder groups in a consultancy role Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as required to effectively bring solutions to life High awareness of common solution and integration approaches, and the design of distributed, loosely coupled, highly available, cloud-native systems. Experience in complex enterprise IT environments, with banking, financial services or similarly regulated environments a significant benefit A problem solving and analytical mindset. A strong bias towards innovation, respectfully challenging the status quo and envisaging the future. A team player, who understands the pragmatic trade-offs required to actually deliver stuff and can tailor a solution to match the capabilities of the teams involved.
