Job Description

Key Responsibilities:



1. Academic Leadership:



Provide strategic direction for the development and delivery of the curriculum in alignment with

UGC

and

university

guidelines. Oversee the

academic standards

, ensuring that faculty members adopt innovative teaching methods, research-driven approaches, and industry-relevant content. Ensure a

student-centered teaching-learning process

, promoting active learning, case-based methodologies, and practical exposure through projects and internships.

2. Regulatory Compliance & Accreditation:



Ensure full compliance with

UGC

,

State Government

, and other regulatory bodies' standards. Keep the institution updated with the latest policies and norms, implementing changes to meet accreditation and regulatory requirements.

3. Faculty and Staff Management:



Oversee recruitment, development, and performance appraisal of

faculty and staff

to ensure academic excellence. Create opportunities for

faculty development programs (FDPs)

, workshops, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and research output. Ensure a

collaborative, ethical, and motivating work environment

, promoting teamwork and professional integrity.

4. Student Welfare & Development:



Ensure the implementation of student-centric policies, including

mentorship programs

,

career counseling

, and

grievance redressal mechanisms

. Support

student placement initiatives

, internships, and

industry partnerships

to improve employability and career growth. Promote extracurricular, co-curricular, and technical activities to foster

holistic development

of students.

5. Financial and Resource Management:



Oversee the

budgeting

financial planning

, and

resource allocation

of the institution. Ensure

cost-effective management of resources

, including infrastructure, faculty, and administrative functions.

6. Governance and Leadership:



Ensure

transparency and accountability

in all institutional processes, fostering a culture of

good governance

Represent the Polytechnic in

academic forums

government bodies

, and

industry associations

to promote the institution's interests.

Eligibility Criteria:



Master's degree in engineering/technology

or a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Ph.D.

Research

or a

relevant field

is highly preferred. Must meet qualifications as per

AICTE/UGC norms

Experience:



10-15 years

of teaching experience in the

relevant field

(Engineering/Technology) at a recognized institution. Minimum

5-7 years

of administrative experience in leadership roles, such as

Department Head

,

Academic Coordinator

, or similar.
