Experience Range - 5+ yrs
Mandatory Requirement:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in investment research, fund management, AMC, AIF, PMS, IB, or asset management.
Job Roles and Responsibilities:
Principal Officer (IFSC Compliance & Governance)
Act as Principal Officer (PO) as per IFSCA regulations and serve as the primary point of contact with the regulator.
Ensure compliance with IFSCA, SEBI (where applicable), AML/CFT, KYC, FATCA/CRS requirements.
Oversee internal controls, compliance monitoring, regulatory filings, audits, and inspections.
Coordinate with compliance officers, legal advisors, auditors, and trustees.
Ensure adherence to fund documents, investment policy, and risk management frameworks.
Research & Investment Responsibilities
Lead investment research across asset classes (equity, private credit, structured finance, alternatives, or public markets as applicable).
Conduct fundamental analysis, financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence on investment opportunities.
Prepare investment notes, IC memos, and portfolio review reports for internal committees.
Support portfolio construction, asset allocation, and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
Track macroeconomic trends, sectoral developments, and global markets relevant to IFSC operations.
Work closely with Fund Managers on deal evaluation, execution, and exit strategies.
Stakeholder & Reporting
Interact with investors, custodians, administrators, and bankers for fund-related matters.
Support investor reporting, disclosures, and periodic updates.
Assist in onboarding of investors and counterparties in compliance with IFSC norms.
Qualification and Experience:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in investment research, fund management, AMC, AIF, PMS, IB, or asset management.
Prior experience in BFSI / capital markets / alternative investments is mandatory.
Sound understanding of IFSCA / SEBI regulations and fund compliance requirements.
Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in financial modelling and investment analysis.
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working with international investors or offshore structures is preferred.
