The Principal is the chief academic and administrative officer of the college and is responsible for providing strategic leadership, ensuring academic excellence, maintaining discipline, and overseeing the overall development of the institution in alignment with regulatory standards and institutional goals.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Leadership
Provide visionary leadership to enhance teaching, learning, and research quality.
Ensure effective implementation of curriculum as per University, UGC, AICTE, or other regulatory norms.
Promote innovative teaching practices and continuous academic improvement.
Encourage faculty development, research activities, and publications.
Administrative & Operational Management
Oversee day-to-day administration of the college.
Ensure compliance with statutory bodies, accreditation agencies (NAAC, NBA, etc.), and government regulations.
Manage institutional policies, procedures, and academic calendars.
Supervise departments, faculty, non-teaching staff, and support services.
Student Affairs
Ensure a safe, disciplined, and inclusive learning environment.
Support student development through academic guidance, co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
Address student grievances in a fair and transparent manner.
Promote placement, career guidance, and industry interaction.
Financial & Resource Management
Prepare and manage budgets in coordination with management.
Ensure optimal utilization of institutional resources and infrastructure.
Monitor grants, funds, and financial compliance.
Strategic Planning & External Relations
Lead strategic planning for institutional growth and quality enhancement.
Represent the college in academic, administrative, and public forums.
Build collaborations with universities, industries, and professional bodies.
Strengthen the institution's reputation and community engagement.
Eligibility Criteria
Ph.D. in a relevant discipline (as per UGC / regulatory norms).
Masters Degree in any Engineering Stream.
Minimum required teaching and administrative experience as prescribed by statutory bodies.
Proven leadership experience in higher education.
Strong knowledge of accreditation, academic regulations, and quality assurance processes.
