Job Summary
The Principal / Head of Institution will provide academic, administrative, and strategic leadership to ensure the smooth functioning and growth of the institution. The role involves overseeing academic delivery, faculty management, student affairs, compliance, admissions, and institutional development while maintaining high standards of education and discipline.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Leadership
Lead academic planning, curriculum development, and syllabus implementation.
Ensure high-quality teaching standards and continuous academic improvement.
Monitor student performance, assessments, and learning outcomes.
Introduce new programs and skill-based courses aligned with industry needs.
2. Faculty & Staff Management
Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate faculty and non-teaching staff.
Allocate workloads and ensure effective classroom delivery.
Foster a positive, disciplined, and collaborative work environment.
Conduct regular faculty meetings and performance reviews.
3. Administration & Operations
Oversee day-to-day institutional operations.
Ensure proper maintenance of academic records, attendance, and documentation.
Implement institutional policies, procedures, and code of conduct.
Coordinate with management for budgeting, procurement, and infrastructure needs.
4. Admissions & Student Affairs
Supervise admissions, counselling, and student onboarding processes.
Ensure student discipline, welfare, and grievance redressal.
Promote student engagement, placements, and extracurricular activities.
5. Compliance & Regulatory
Ensure adherence to education board, university, and government regulations.
Handle inspections, audits, and accreditation-related processes.
Maintain statutory records and approvals as required.
6. Marketing, Outreach & Growth
Support marketing and branding initiatives to increase admissions.
Participate in outreach programs, seminars, and institutional promotions.
Build industry, academic, and community partnerships.
7. Strategic Planning
Develop short-term and long-term institutional growth strategies.
Set academic and operational goals aligned with the institution's vision.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation in teaching and administration.
Qualifications & Experience
Postgraduate degree in Education / Engineering / Science / Management or related field.
PhD or equivalent qualification is preferred (as per regulatory norms).
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in teaching and academic leadership roles.
Prior experience as Principal / Academic Head / Vice Principal preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven administrative and organizational skills.
Ability to handle faculty, students, parents, and regulators effectively.
Familiarity with digital education tools, LMS, ERP, and academic software.
