Position Description

Smrti is looking for a Senior Leader who is a confident, results-driven and strategic thinker with excellent influencing and execution skills. S/he should understand the landscape of Schools in Bangalore. The Leader should understand the approach of the School for Academics, Affiliations, Child Happiness and build the school to be one of the best in Bangalore. S/he will work with various teams at School to come up with a clear strategy, a working plan that can be executed, a budget and positioning of the school. The position manages the entire gamut of the Institution including Planning, Teaching, Operations, Curriculum Designing & Execution, Student Counselling and Guidance and Innovative
Teaching.

The role is Academic in Nature purely and, therefore requires an Academician.

S/he will work with the Head of Marketing and Administration and the Finance Function. These functions will not report in to this role but will work closely with the Principal. The Principal, Head of Marketing and Administration and Finance will report to the Director of the School.

Key Result Areas

a) Academics - approach, high quality learning experience for children, making children mindful enough to look at life differently b) People Management - Hiring, retention and management of a high quality/performance team of teachers and other academicians c) New Products and Services - as decided and agreed up on with the Director of Smrti d) Operations - Separate KRAs will be decided for each aspect of Academic Operations e) Drive profitability of School f) Compliance

Qualifications and Experience

a) Must be a B.Ed. A Masters Degree in any specialization will be required. b) Must be very proficient with using technology - Microsoft Office, etc. c) 15+ years experience with at least 3 to 5 years experience as Principal of another school. d) Must have led teams and should have a track-record of grooming leaders. S/he must have reputation and extensive connects in the Industry to attract good talent to the School e) Must have set up a school and worked on Affiliation of Schools to a Board (CBSE preferable) f) Must demonstrate a track-record of having managed a School very well
