We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and visionary
Principal
to lead a CBSE-affiliated school on an immediate basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all academic and administrative functions, driving student admissions, managing staff, counselling parents, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the school in the absence of the proprietor.
This is a leadership role requiring a blend of academic excellence, administrative competence, people management, and strategic thinking.
Key Responsibilities:1. Academic Leadership
Ensure effective implementation of the CBSE curriculum across all grades.
Lead curriculum planning, teacher training, academic audits, and performance improvement strategies.
Monitor and drive academic excellence through regular assessments and quality benchmarks.
2. Admissions Management
Lead the end-to-end admissions process including promotions, campus tours, parent interaction, and final selection.
Work with the marketing/admissions team to develop campaigns to meet enrollment targets.
Ensure a high conversion rate through effective communication and parent engagement.
3. Parent & Community Engagement
Act as the primary point of contact for parent concerns, queries, and counselling.
Organize PTMs, workshops, and community events to foster strong school-home partnerships.
Address student behavioural issues and offer guidance/counselling in coordination with the student support team.
4. Staff Management & Development
Lead, mentor, and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff.
Oversee recruitment, training, appraisals, and team-building activities.
Foster a positive and collaborative school culture.
5. Administrative Oversight
Oversee day-to-day school operations including timetables, transport, discipline, infrastructure, etc.
Maintain regulatory compliance with CBSE norms and other statutory bodies.
Ensure safety, security, and cleanliness of the school campus.
6. Leadership in Proprietor's Absence
Function as the de facto head of the institution when the proprietor is unavailable.
Take key decisions related to academics, administration, HR, finance (as delegated), and legal matters.
Represent the school at external forums, regulatory bodies, and community platforms.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Education (M.Ed.) or any relevant field with B.Ed. (mandatory).
Strong understanding of CBSE norms, NEP 2020 guidelines, and school accreditation processes.
