Principal, IT Resiliency Architect The Principal, IT Resiliency Architect will be responsible for evaluating and designing complex IT infrastructure solutions across a vast range of technologies within the IT Resiliency Team. The IT Resiliency Team is dedicated to ensuring the resilience and continuity of our operations in the face of unforeseen disasters. The architect must have strong program management skills to work with cross function infrastructure and application owners to assess, design, and implement technical solutions for the Disaster Recovery (DR)program. The architect should be able to troubleshoot, identify root cause, and seek a formal solution with other teams as required. This hands-on role must have experience with data center, networking, security, storage, virtualization, database, and middleware technologies.
Responsibilities
As an expert, the IT Resiliency Architect will be on a team that will deliver end-to-end technical resiliency solutions to the organization, utilizing the latest technologies and leveraging automation mechanisms for reducing recovery times. The Resiliency Architect should have a solid understanding of program management and leadership skills to engage various teams. Responsibilities for this role include:
Infrastructure ArchitectIndependently implements technical solutions and delivers projects end-to-end working autonomously, while providing updates to stakeholders.
Performs analysis of complex functional and business requirements. Prepares and delivers solutions for others. Leads design activities, working with architects from various technical teams.
Evaluates, develop, and oversee resiliency strategy across development and engineering teams.
Advances the DR automation effort of applications and business capabilities.
Collaborates closely with teams participating in strategic planning, facilitating cross-team solution reviews, and communicating strategy direction.
Maintains an effective technical network across technical SMEs and architects for multiple service areas.
Disaster Recovery Orchestration ToolsConfigure and integrate interfaces with existing systems with the DR Orchestration tool. Integrate project management, disaster recovery and functional business expertise to create a superior customized solution for the Resiliency Team.
Work with teams to assess and implement high availability and seamless failover resiliency mechanisms across multiple layers of the application and infrastructure stacks.
Develop documentation for onboarding of applications onto this toolset, create training modules, and apply project manager expertise to ensure project milestones are met.
Apply new technologies and design of highly complex infrastructure and software solutions.
Disaster Recovery FrameworkDocumentation: Maintain accurate documentation of disaster recovery plans, procedures, and incident response protocols.
Incident Response: Lead disaster recovery efforts in the event of a disruption, coordinating the response and recovery activities.
Training and Awareness: Develop and provide training to employees on disaster recovery and business continuity procedures to enhance preparedness.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and evolving threats to continually improve disaster recovery capabilities.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
14+ years as Technical Architect/Systems Administrator/Systems Engineer operating at enterprise scale.
6+ years as a Team lead or project manager role that can engage and deliver projects to completion.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in disaster recovery and business continuity planning including:
O Experience in coordinating and leading disaster recovery exercises and response efforts.
O Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining comprehensive disaster recovery plans.
O Strong knowledge of disaster recovery methodologies, tools, and technologies.2+ years' experience with design, implementation, integration, rollout of a SAAS solution.
Implementation, integration, rollout of DR orchestration tool is a major plus.
Practical experience in both technology infrastructure and application development architectures.
Certification such as CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional) or equivalent is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and in high-stress situations.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
Practical experience operating in an Agile development environment.
Preferred Qualifications:Financial or Regulatory domain experience a plus
VMWare vRO experience a plus
Service Now experience a plus.
Automation experience
Familiarity with Fusion a plus
