UST is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our Data & Analytics team.
Key Responsibilities
xc2xb7 Drive client engagement fully and align the development team towards a technical roadmap.
xc2xb7 Implement analytical requirements by defining and analysing system problems, designing and testing standards and solutions.
xc2xb7 Develop solution by preparing and evaluating alternative workflow solutions.
xc2xb7 Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
xc2xb7 Design new analytical solutions by analysing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.
xc2xb7 Improve systems by studying current practices, designing modifications.
xc2xb7 Recommends controls by identifying problems, writing improved procedures.
xc2xb7 Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget.
xc2xb7 Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
xc2xb7 Maintain system protocols by writing and updating procedures.
xc2xb7 Provide references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; providing help desk support; training users.
xc2xb7 Maintain user confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
xc2xb7 Prepare technical reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends.
xc2xb7 Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
Required Skills and Experience
xc2xb7 Professional experience of 10+ years in business analysis, requirement gathering, solution workflow design for AI/ML/Analytics project.
xc2xb7 Excellent problem solving, Critical and Analytical thinking skills and hands on coding skills.
xc2xb7 Proficient in Data fetch, data merge, data wrangling, exploratory data analysis and feature engineering.
xc2xb7 Experience in programming skills in Python and SQL with working knowledge of machine learning algorithms.
xc2xb7 Strong understanding of ML libraries and applications e.g., Time series analysis, Neural Net, SVMs, boosting methods and implementation using Python.
xc2xb7 Experience in Deep learning techniques.
xc2xb7 Excellent Communication skills to effectively collaborate with business SMEs, UX team.
xc2xb7 Intermediate knowledge with Dev Ops practices, including CICD, Automation, Build Management, and Versioning.
xc2xb7 Understanding of Cloud services, including Azure ML or AWS Sagemaker or GCP Vertex AI.
xc2xb7 Experience in LLM/Gen AI Prompt Engineering, RAG and parameter hypertuning.
xc2xb7 Experience in Pyspark will be an added advantage.
