The Principal - Pharmacy will lead and manage the academic, administrative, and research activities of the pharmacy institution. The candidate will ensure high standards of education, research, and ethical practices while fostering an environment conducive to learning and professional development. The Principal will act as a liaison between regulatory bodies, faculty, students, and industry partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide academic and administrative leadership for the pharmacy department/institution.
Oversee the planning, development, and execution of academic programs, ensuring compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
Promote excellence in teaching, research, and student learning.
Mentor and support faculty development and performance enhancement.
Coordinate and supervise admissions, examinations, and student counseling.
Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of laboratory, library, and other facilities.
Drive research initiatives, innovation, and industry partnerships for practical exposure and development.
Maintain discipline, ethical standards, and a healthy educational environment.
Represent the institution in academic, regulatory, and governmental forums.
Develop strategic plans for growth, collaborations, and curriculum improvement.
Ensure proper financial management and resource allocation within the department.
Qualifications:
A Master's degree in Pharmacy (M.Pharm) or equivalent; Ph.D. in Pharmacy is highly desirable.
Minimum of 10 years of teaching and administrative experience, preferably in a pharmacy education institution.
Proven track record in research, publication, and academic leadership.
Knowledge of pharmacy regulations, accreditation processes, and educational best practices.
Experience in curriculum design, evaluation, and academic planning.
