The Principal - Financial Planning and Analysis is a role responsible for providing strategic financial insights and supporting the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis functions within the organization. This role is critical in supporting decision-making processes and ensuring alignment with the company's overall objectives

Key Accountabilities

What you'll be doing:

Support the development and execution of the annual budgeting and forecasting process Assist in developing long-term financial plans and projections Identify financial risks and opportunities and provide recommendations Prepare and present financial reports and dashboards to senior leadership. Analyze variances and trends to provide actionable insights. Collaborate with business unit leaders to provide financial support and insights. Assist in the development of business plans and investment proposals Identify opportunities to enhance financial planning and analysis processes Work closely with the FP&A team to ensure alignment and consistency in financial planning and analysis.

Skills & Experience

You'll need to demonstrate:

Working experience within the FP&A field Knowledge of finance principles and practice Understanding of Budget Variance methods and principals Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify trends Demonstrable experience performing a succinct and timely month end process Ability to work independently and take initiative Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and departments Attention to detail to ensure data integrity Strong analytical skills with a focus on data analysis and problem solving Ability and openness to quickly learn new systems and processes Ability to absorb and rationalize feedback, demonstrating ability to adjust delivery and ways of working Finance professional qualified or pursuing a recognized accounting designation Working knowledge of IBM Cognos/TM1, Microsoft Dynamics 365/D365 or equivalent ERP system and Power BI are advantageous
