Summary

Location- Bangalore/ Gurgaon

Shift - EMEA

  • Leads the Technical Architecture Team responsible for Compute, Storage and Network design on-prem and in the Cloud.
  • Identifies and uses best practices, as well as emerging products, technologies and approaches.
  • Ensures architectures, strategies, policies, standards and practices for existing and new systems remain compatible within IT infrastructure.
Job Purpose
  • A clear and compelling vision for the direction of the enterprise in relation to IT and the business. The role holder provides a forward-looking approach that identifies the process, application, integration, data and technology components or architectures that enable business change within and across roadmaps.
  • The role holder provides leadership, analysis and design facilitation to develop, maintain and govern the EA function across business, information, technical and social viewpoints and enterprise architecture. They are responsible for leading the effective integration of EA process with other related processes (i.e.: investment, enterprise program, IT portfolio and project management) in the organization and governance.
  • Fact-based analysis to drive IT and Business organization recommendations.

  • Business (strategy, business roadmap, business process, business services, people/organization): addresses the needs of the business community and defines the optimal infrastructure to support business processes.
  • Data: Promote understanding of how data is created and used in the enterprise; Promote sharing /adoption; ensure alignment of Infrastructure Architecture to data management strategies and standards
  • Application: Manage the evolution of the application portfolio in ITSM tooling area.
  • Technical/Infrastructure: Plan and improve infrastructure architecture; establish technology standards and manage adherence across the enterprise; Bridge between Technology Domain Architects and Solution Architects.
Job Responsibilities
  • Leading the evolution of the EA function or program, including the coordination of an appropriately balanced pursuit of enterprise business, information, technical and solution architecture viewpoints
  • Establish and maintain the baseline, transition, and end state architecture.
  • Create holistic views across projects and roadmaps that assist in identifying common needs.
  • Provide shared services to IT / business programs in the Technology/Infrastructure architecture domain in the form of communication, counseling, negotiation, persuasion and governance.
  • Participate in the Architecture Review Board that in conjunction with the XDX SLT sets the priority for EA initiatives and which is the working structure through which the \xe2\x80\x9cto be\xe2\x80\x9d architecture is developed and ratified.
  • Establish and communicate the enterprise technology, process framework and data standards.
  • Expand and maintain EA governance process capabilities including the development and operation of an Architecture Review Board.
  • Ensure that common architecture decisions are defined and implemented consistently across the organization in order to support the business and IT strategy.
  • Assists with program level issue resolution when an enterprise level perspective is required to ensure alignment or to inform future state models.
  • Analyzing the current business and IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
  • Leading the development of an implementation plan for the EA, based on business requirements and IT strategies, overseeing EA implementation, ongoing EA refinement activities, and the documentation of all EA design and analysis work.
  • Identifying organizational requirements for the resources, structures and cultural changes necessary to support the EA.
  • Consulting with program/project teams to fit solutions to architecture across all viewpoints.
  • Understanding, advocating and supporting the enterprise\'s business and IT strategies.
  • Leading the identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers to derive enterprise business, information, technical and solution architecture requirements; analyzing industry, technology and market trends to determine their potential impacts on the enterprise.
  • Leading and facilitating the creation of governing principles to guide solution decision making for the enterprise.
  • Promoting the EA process, outcomes and results to the organization, including the enterprise\'s IT and business leaders; this includes assessing (through appropriate metrics) and communicating the achievement and impact of the EA, as well as leading the development and execution of an EA communication and education plan.
  • Ensuring that the optimal governance structure and compliance activities (such as handling waivers) are associated with EA compliance.
Education and experience
  • Graduation in specialized field (Example: Bachelor of Engineering etc.)
  • SAP Basis and Oracle Technical, MS Azure, AWS, VMware, Cisco, Dell/EMC, NetApp
  • (Overall 20+ Years Experience)
  • Requires advanced to expert level knowledge and understanding across multiple IT disciplines (e.g., business, technology, application and information/data)
  • Has a full range of strategic management and leadership skills.
  • Has a broad and deep knowledge of Technologies and Infrastructure products coupled with equivalent knowledge of the activities of those businesses and other organizations that use and exploit information systems.
  • Understands, explains and presents complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels up to the highest in a persuasive and convincing manner.
  • Has played a leadership role in architectural facets both within and outside the company.
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of at least one specific technology area and a broad understanding across a wide field along with a record of applying such knowledge successfully in a variety of situations.
  • Example: SAP, Oracle, ServiceNow, Salesforce, Integration tools, Infrastructure Management toolset including monitoring and automation tools, LAN and WAN technologies, Security.
  • An expert in the principles and practices involved in development and maintenance and in service delivery. Has expert technical understanding and the aptitude to remain up to date with technology and industry developments. Possesses a general understanding of the ITSM tools.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of strategic issues and is an authority on the systems development life cycle and typical problems associated with the implementation of information systems, from initial concept through development and implementation to operation and support. Has detailed practical knowledge of the organization\'s IT infrastructure and software development and maintenance methods, tools and techniques.
  • Conversant with the organization\'s IT strategy, policies and standards.
  • Has experience in presenting and facilitating various architecture forums to educate, train, mentor, benchmark and advance the state of the art in architecture and standards.
  • Communicates persuasively and effectively, including influencing and \xe2\x80\x9cselling\xe2\x80\x9d to stakeholders. Possess a strong ability in the use of analogy and storytelling to bring the technical subject matter to non-technical people.
  • Demonstrates high standards of professional behavior in dealings with clients, colleagues and staff.
  • Demonstrates the ability to take significant responsibility and shows skill in the management of change and can handle contacts of all types and at all levels.
  • Is able to make sound and far-reaching decisions alone on major issues and to take full responsibility for them on a technical or managerial basis.
  • Demonstrates a rational and organized approach to the tasks undertaken and an awareness of the need to achieve quality.
