T
he successful applicant would be responsible for the following.
o

ead and manage comprehensive water resource management studies for mining projects, from conceptual design through to implementation and optimization. o
tilize advanced modelling and simulation tools to predict water-related risks and evaluate m

itigation measures, enabling data-driven decision-making for clients.
o

valuating mine tailings dam integrity, encompassing computed aided models for dam break s

cenarios.
o

onduct hydrological studies, including desk-based research, conceptual, analytical, and n

umerical modeling, and analyze data along with input/output uncertainties.
o

onduct analysis of storms, undertake hydraulic computations, and engage in 1D/2D hydraulic simulation to estimate floods and assess risks. This includes the preliminary design and estimation of costs for flood mitigation measures at mining sites. o
ead the team in the design of water management infrastructure for mines, spanning from initial feasibility studies to detailed civil engineering stages. o
rovide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and contributing to the overall knowledge sharing within the firm. o
repare detailed reports, technical documentation, and presentations for clients, showcasing p

roject outcomes, findings, and recommendations.
o

xecute project management responsibilities, such as composing reports and proposals, i

nteracting with clients, and offering guidance to staff members.
M
andatory Skills
o

xperience undertaking flood related studies for environmental assessments and infrastructure design projects across a range of sectors, with a particular focus on Mining, Water and Urban Development sectors would be desirable. o
otal Experience 10+ Years. o
trong knowledge hydrology, hydraulics, and water quality modelling practices and guidelines. Proficiency in relevant Australian guidelines is preferred. o
xperience in software used for hydrology models and hydraulic models such as TUFLOW, ICM, HEC-RAS and associated GIS software programs (QGIS). o
xcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a demonstrated ability to apply them to Australian water resources challenges. o
ffective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse stakeholders. D

esired Skills
orack record of successfully delivering water related projects. o
eeting Clients needs, as well as programme and budgetary constraints. o
roven technical expertise in the civil/water resource enginering field with an established r

eputation in the local market.

xperienced with managing a water resource engineers and supporting mining business based outside of India. o

ualifications
o

aster/Phd degree in water resource engineering is preferred. o
xtensive professional experience 10+ years in water resources engineering. o
xperience in the International context is preferred. W
