We are seeking a visionary Principal Engineer as part of System Validation Infra to join our team in Bengaluru, India. In this pivotal role, you will lead the technical direction of our engineering efforts, drive innovation, and mentor our talented team of engineers. As a Principal Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions and monitoring infra tools and systems deployment that shape the future of our products.

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for firmware and qualification workflows using Jenkins(any similar tool) and Git. Write basic to complex automation scripts using Python for data processing, job execution, and system integration. Integrate and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI to visualize qualification and failure data. Collaborate with QA, test, and validation teams to automate test infrastructure and improve coverage. Collect and analyze logs and metrics related to system failures, assist in root cause analysis (RCA). Work with engineering teams to track bugs, manage tasks, and plan releases using Jira. Enforce best practices in version control, branching strategies, and release management. Participate in continuous improvement of DevOps tools, techniques, and documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to work on requirements and by understanding them deeper into technical specifications Provide mentorship to engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and best practices Recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance our engineering capabilities Drive the resolution of complex technical challenges and make critical design decisions Contribute to the establishment of engineering standards, best practices, and documentation Represent the team in design and development related discussions with stakeholders and external partners

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead engineering role. Hands-on to DevOps or infrastructure automation experience.
Strong understanding of Git, Jenkins, and Jira workflows.
Proven track record of leading large to mid-scale, complex software projects from conception to successful delivery Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and data processing. Good hands-on experience with Power BI for dashboard/report creation and data analysis. Basic knowledge of failure analysis techniques--working with logs, test reports, and system data to support RCA. Familiarity with Docker(any similar tool) and Linux-based systems. Good understanding of CI/CD practices and tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and agile methodologies Strong understanding of performance optimization, scalability, and reliability in large to mid-scale systems. Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools and practices Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop innovative solutions Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence technical decisions Good knowledge of Flash Memory concepts, Protocol knowledge such as UFS or eMMC shall be an added advantage. Experience mentoring and developing junior engineers. Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a data-driven approach to decision-making Ability to balance technical excellence with pragmatic solutions to meet business objectives
