As a Principal Software Engineer, youll be part of a world-class engineering team shaping the future of enterprise-scale supply chain systems at T-Mobile. Youll lead architecture, modernization, and delivery of high-resiliency, high-security, high-performance platforms that are data-driven and AI-empowered. Your technical vision and hands-on leadership will drive rapid innovation and enable fast go-to-market execution, while championing modern engineering practices that elevate platform quality, stability, and scale.
Key Responsibilities:

• Define and architect scalable, high-performance solutions for supply chain domain, setting technical direction across development teams.
• Drive end-to-end system design for complex business logic in high-availability environments.
• Lead platform modernization, legacy refactoring, and enterprise-wide architecture optimization.
• Set and enforce coding standards and system design patterns for Spring Boot-based microservices.
• Spearhead platform performance strategies, observability, and cost-effective infrastructure scaling.
• Own DevOps integration, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows for cloud-native systems.
• Lead integration efforts across third-party platforms, internal systems, and shared services.
• Drive engineering best practices to improve developer productivity, delivery velocity, and production stability.
• Oversee technical governance including design reviews, security/ops standards, and development workflows.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence through mentorship, collaboration, and innovation.
• Advance the technology roadmap by introducing new design patterns and cost effective cloud services.
• Coach and mentor engineers across domains; influence architecture decisions across the organization.
• Maintain deep understanding of business logic and domain context to ensure architectural alignment.

Education and Work Experience (Required):

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

10+ years of full stack microservice architecture and backend service development experience, including hands-on work with:

• System performance and resiliency optimization
• Java / Spring Boot based microservice development
• SQL and NoSQL databases (Oracle, MongoDB, etc.)
• REST/gRPC APIs, distributed systems
• 5 years of hands-on development experience on Oracle Fusion Cloud Platform (OCI PaaS) as the ERP Platform as well as integrating third party applications to the platform. Experience in one or more of the SaaS components below:
• Oracle Fusion SCM (SaaS)
• Inventory Management (org design, valuation, transactions)
• Order Management (orchestration, fulfillment, AR integration)
• Procurement (PO, SSP, approvals, accruals)
• Cost Management (cost books, SLA, COGS, period close)
• Supply & Demand Planning (ATP/CTP, GOP, forecast consumption)
• Manufacturing (work definitions, WIP, costing integration)
• Shipping & Receiving execution
• Product Information Management (item lifecycle, governance)
• Supplier Management (qualification, portals)

Hands-on experience working with one or more of the Oracle Fusion Cloud Technical Frameworks:

• REST & SOAP APIs (Fusion public services)
• Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) integrations, adapters, lookups
• FBDI (File based Data Import) / ADFdi (Application Development Framework Desktop Integration) for bulk data operations
• BI Publisher & OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence)
• BICC (Business Intelligence Cloud Connector) data extracts
• Fusion security model (roles, privileges, data security)

Experience developing integrations using OCI Integration Architecture approaches and elements:

• Event-driven & asynchronous patterns
• OIC vs direct REST vs Streaming (Kafka)
• API versioning & lifecycle management
• Error handling, retries, idempotency
• Master Data Management patterns
• Identity & auth (OAuth2, OCI IAM, IDCS)
• 3+ years of DevOps experience with GitLab/GitHub CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI).
• 1+ year mentoring or coaching engineers across teams and functions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Expert in building and scaling systems using Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Oracle DB, and MongoDB.
• Strong experience with data flow orchestration, event-driven architecture, and service integrations.
• Skilled in performance tuning, refactoring, and optimizing system architecture.
• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure parameters, configurations, and cost-performance trade-offs.
• Strong debugging ability across the stack: backend, database, networking, and deployment layers.
• Familiarity with network protocols, platform security, and enterprise financial system compliance.
• Capable of navigating adjacent systems and business workflows to drive integration strategy.
