Exp Level: 20+ years Job description: Role Overview: .Review of Process package for completeness of Mechanical related data .Review of PFDs, PIDs, MSDs, Data sheets. Commenting/review on the same for completeness .Develop technical specifications for Equipment/Packages. Review of specifications from Client/PMC .Participating in IDC process. Interaction with Engineering disciplines, Clients/PMC, Bidders/Vendors .Review of Quotes, analyzing deviations, raising of TQs, TBEs, MRPs .Review of VPs .Support project/proposal activities .Resolving Vendor, Site queries. Interaction with Inspection Agencies, Expeditors, other agencies for delivery of Equipment/Packages .Providing Inputs/Review for Progress reporting .Handling team issues Specific capabilities required for the role include experience in: .Detail engineering for handling large (Of 10 Megawatt or more Power rating) Process Gas Compressors (Centrifugal, Reciprocating, Screw & other types) and Packages for procurement and installation at site. Should be conversant with applications in refineries, petrochemicals, polyethylene, polypropylene, pipeline gas, LNG projects. .Drivers (Steam/Gas Turbine, Motor) .Layout for Compressor house and associate equipment, Packages .Knowledge of systems, calculations, pulsation studies and applications of methods .Vendor FAT / SAT, Performance tests and review test reports and provide relevant comments .Understand various types of materials to be used for different services and review of vendor proposed materials .Knowledge of engineering work planning and schedules, related construction practices .Knowledge of industry / regulatory codes and standards like API, ANSI, NFPA, ASME, Licensor & Client specifications, OISD .Knowledge of Suppliers capabilities .Knowledge for different Process Licensers technology vis--vis Rotating equipment .Experience in Petroleum and Oil Refineries. Working in Pipelines and other Industrial/Infrastructure/Metal & Mining projects shall be an advantage .Ability to coordinate work with other engineering disciplines and other stake holders .Leadership Skills and Supervisory Experience Candidate will be required to: .Plan and conduct independent work within the New Delhi Execution Unit, using sound judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. .Ensuring project/proposal activities are carried with sound engineering practices within schedule and cost. .Interaction with Global offices. .Participating in Value Engineering, design and cost optimization. .Coordinates technical issues with other departments on projects including constructability requirements and reviews. .Develop standard documentation for use on projects. Training of Engineers for Rotating Equipment/Packages. .Travel to support activities at construction sites, supplier's works or in other engineering offices. The Mechanical Engineer will work as part of Global Bechtel team and should also have a basic flair for working with personnel of different nationalities. Should have a good proficiency for spoken and written English language. Willing to travel to International offices and sites on business trips/assignments. Candidate to mention their experience in Refinery/Petrochemical units, Offsites and Utilities Basic Qualifications: . A recognized engineering degree in Mechanical engineering, from an accredited college or university. . Work experience in design engineering in Oil, Gas & Chemical industry . Knowledge of systems, calculations, equipment, and applications of methods. . Knowledge of industry /regulatory codes and standards . Good oral and written communication demonstrated skill in leadership
