Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and visionary

Principal Engineer - LAMP Stack

to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring

10-20 years

of proven expertise in PHP-based application development, architecture design, and modern software engineering practices. This role requires a

blend of leadership, architectural vision, and hands-on coding skills

, enabling the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications.

You will lead cross-functional teams, shape technical direction, mentor engineers, and ensure the adoption of emerging tools and best practices -- all while staying close to the code when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Architecture

+ Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade PHP applications.
+ Architect scalable, maintainable, and high-performance backend systems.
+ Drive architectural discussions, solution design, and technology strategy.

Collaboration & Delivery

+ Partner with Product, DevOps, QA, and other teams to deliver robust solutions.
+ Manage project timelines, technical risk assessment, and resource allocation.
+ Champion DevOps, CI/CD, and agile practices to accelerate delivery.

Technical Excellence

+ Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure performance optimization.
+ Evaluate, adopt, and integrate emerging frameworks, libraries, and tools.
+ Ensure security compliance, data integrity, and system reliability.

Innovation & Mentorship

+ Explore AI tools, automation frameworks, and advanced architectures to enhance productivity.
+ Mentor and coach engineering teams, fostering continuous learning and innovation.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have:

Strong hands-on expertise in PHP (Core PHP, Laravel, Symfony, or equivalent). Solid experience in RESTful API design and development. Deep understanding of OOP, Design Patterns, and MVC architecture. Proven experience with MySQL or other relational databases. Proficiency in Git and version control workflows. Expertise in performance optimization, scalability, and security best practices.

Good to Have:

Exposure to AI/ML toolkits, APIs, or integration with generative AI. Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). Understanding of microservices architecture. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Bonus Points:

Strong capability in solutioning and architectural design. Experience leading enterprise-level digital transformation projects. Hands-on knowledge of Node.js, React, or other modern tech stacks. * Cloud or DevOps certifications.
