Responsible for delivering the engineering vision as set by HOD – Engineering Systems.
Provides strategic support and input into the overall engineering vision and development plan.
Manage the process of Change management with respect to PDMS.
Responsible for PDMS applications and their interfaces with other applications.
Responsible for keeping up to date knowledge in PDMS development, latest software version releases and rolling out improvements.
Support for PDMS integration with other engineering systems and non-engineering systems as required as part of the development.
Support for developing and maintaining detailed work processes for PDMS.
Support for rolling out new developments and implementing change management at the appropriate level.
Support in developing Corporate EPC Standard Project Setup for PDMS and maintain it.
Support to providing clear plans and goal setting in managing the software related project activities.
Develop SP3D as an alternative to PDMS and integrate with engineering and non-engineering applications.
Providing training plans and providing training for PDMS.
Developing and supporting project specific automation requirement which are received from discipline.
Monitoring of software license utilization and optimizing the license requirement.
Operational: Responsible for reviewing and maintaining consistency of PDMS across engineering operational centers.
Responsible for PDMS setup, configuration and customization related to project listed as below:
Project hierarchy creation (if applicable)
Define Naming Convention(if applicable)
Access rights Management
Database Maintenance running daily and weekly cleanup activities
Monitoring if daily backups are taking place
Customize Reports (if applicable)
Retrieval of external data
Adhering to PDMS and 3D procedures and instructions in QMS
Preparation and issue of PDMS related Procedures & Job notes
Coordinate and manage WBS indexes and Drawings preparation
Load Piping specs
Update Piping catalog as per the need
Update Structural catalog as per the need
Update Electrical catalog as per the need
Update Instrumentation catalog as per the need
Update Equipment Templates as per the need
Create required Auto Color Rules
Create required MDBs, Users
Modify ACR to suite project needs
Draft and ADP configuration based on project requirements
Prepare report templates
Ensure WBS hierarchy is maintained in PDMS
Customize Isometric set up
User support &Troubleshooting
Extract MTO report from model, Bolt reporting and Extra-long bolt identification, reporting to Piping Material team
Responsible for matc and idf extraction
Navisworks and Review Reality files generation
Interfaces Setup (Explant_I, MEI, Open Steel …)
Be the focal point for problem solving and trouble shooting on PDMS Projects those are assigned.
Provide guidance and assistance for Project PDMS users.
Develop and provide training for PDMS users.
Roll out system enhancements and application changes in a controlled manner and implement a change management programme.
Tracks and manages all user requests.
Other
Performs related duties as and when directed by direct supervisor.
Minimum Job Requirement: Bachelor of Engineering Degree, in Mechanical/Civil/Instrumentation/Electrical, having worked in the oil and gas industry for minimum 8 years and upto 15 years with relevant experience in multidisciplinary coordination role and responsibility for delivering PDMS with project execution expertise and development experience in an engineering environment.
