Job Description


Principal Engineer - Systems Engineering, Avionics This position is for Systems Engineering Lead role a key contributor to new product and technology development while working closely with the cross function teams within Avionics Sensors Business. He will be working individually and/or with Teams to perform various System engineering activities such as Requirements Management, System Architecture Design, System Integration, and Verification / Certification of Air Data Sensors and Electro-mechanical Sensors. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead Systems engineering activities in accordance with ARP4754 for New Product/Systems Development
  • Requirements Definition & Validation , System Architecture Design, Trade study , Systems Integration , Verification/ Certification for Integrated System including Hardware and Software
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams including software, hardware, project teams and Internal/External customer to coordinate the technical efforts towards realizing project goals
  • Prepare and review product specifications, reports, schedules and customer documents
  • Participate in design gate reviews such as PDR/CDR/TRL reviews.
  • Applies systems thinking, design thinking, trade study, modeling & simulation for optimum design and performance of systems and components.
  • Make independent decision and facilitate quality decision while working with cross function global team/s
  • Lead Problem solving and provide solutions to product design and improvements
  • Consistently upgrade product/technology knowledge and impact innovation/IP
  • Mentor and guide engineers to build organization capability
Basic Qualifications:
  • BE/BTECH/ME/ MTech Degree in Electronics/Mechanical / Aerospace Engg
  • 12-15 Years of engineering experience from Aerospace / Automotive industry.
  • 5 years of systems engineering experience in integrated systems including Hardware and Software.
  • Experience in Aerospace Product development cycle and proficient in using Standards including and not limited to ARP4754, ARP4761, DO160 etc
  • Experience in tools: DOORS, Polraion ALM, Team center, Matlab /Simulink etc..
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree/Professional certification in Systems Engineering
  • Systems Lead role developing safety critical Aircraft/Avionics systems
  • Experience in ARP4761 based system safety assessment
