About the role
Senior Cobol Engineer for IAM team
What you will be doing

• 10+ years of core design and development experience.
• Good Knowledge of MF-COBOL, JCL, Sort/cosort, Unix, Unix Shell scripting, Eclipse IDE Subversion or similar code repository

• Knowledge of database- Oracle, DB2, etc and SQL
• Knowledge of MQ Series, XML, CICS etc. is an added advantage
• Understand, functional and technical requirements of software programs/modules
• Develop and document optimal codes for complex program requirements
• Develop codes for assigned unit of work/requirements within a program/module functional & non functional
• Ensure delivery of defect free codes to the next level or review/ QA team
• Possess strong understanding of coding best practices.
• Adhere to timelines and processes while developing and documenting codes
• Ensure compliance to pre defined coding best practices to meet quality and timelines of delivery
• Knowledge of release management processes.
• Good communication and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (KANBAN, Scrum, SAFe). * Ability to learn and rotate to technologies like Java, Spring, Cloud, AIML & Gen AI.
