Overview:
This opening is for Enterprise Engineering group at Collins Aerospace for Principal engineer. Requires a total of 10-13 years experience on controls modeling and simulation with expertise in MATLAB/Simulink & Auto Code Generation.
Position: Principal Engineer
Domain Knowledge & Skills:

• Subject Matter Expert in Model based design and development using MATLAB/Simulink and scripting using MATLAB.
• 7 years plus experience in Controls modeling and auto-code generation using MATLAB Simulink.
• 7 years plus experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools & methodology.
• Experienced in integration models to modern requirements management, architecture and systems engineering software.
• Experienced in functional and logical decomposition of system and develop requirements.
• Participated in converting document-based to model-based architectures.
• Implemented model-based architecture and engineering methods and standards.
• Critical thinker, decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarization of SysML language is preferred.

Basic Qualifications:

• B.Tech/M.Tech (Electrical/Electronics/Mechnical/Computer Science or Equivalent)
• Expertise in controls modeling, simulation, and analysis.
• Experience in validating models.
• Experience in working with ARP 4754, DO-178C and DO-331 standards

Role & Responsibilities:

• Understanding of the customer requirements and specifications.
• Decomposition of system level requirements to sub-system & component level
• Working closely with the global stakeholders & project lead for Controls Modeling and Simulation using MATLAB & Simulink.
• Technical and business proposal preparation for advance methods development
• Participate in internal CoP and external professional bodies
• Execute projects with ability to deliver the results within cost and schedule with quality.
• Support creation of Standard works, Lessons Learnt documents and Check lists.
