OverviewPrincipal Engineer for a large bank with 3 to 6 years relevant experienceAreas of Expertise preferred but not required: Cards, Loans, App ModernizationResponsibilities
- As a Principal Engineer you\'ll establish and practice high engineering standards and habits that align with SBC\'s overall IT standards and policies to ensure the high software quality
- Leading teams of engineers in a technology or software development environment.
- Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies
- Experience with a variety of programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, and JavaScript
- Experience with API design and development, including RESTful and SOAP web services
- Knowledge of cloud computing technologies and platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Scrum and Jira
- Understanding of security principles and experience implementing security controls in a software development environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead a team of engineers and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
