- Assumes overall responsibility for product development, in technical aspects.
- Understand the customer/system requirements and develop design architecture for AC & DC motor drives.
- Design, development and testing of high-power motor drive/power electronic circuits.
- Design of micro-controller based electronic modules.
- Analyze circuit behavior for power electronic, analog and digital circuits that involves Operational Amplifiers, ADC, DAC, MOSFETs, IGBTs, DC-DC converters and Logic gates etc.
- Estimate power losses and thermal stress on electronic components (IGBTs, MOSFETs, diodes) for typical power conversion topologies.
- Perform circuit simulations, design trade studies. Drive internal design reviews and guide team members.
- Design & test for EMI-EMC & environmental requirements. Perform board bring up, design verification & qualification tests.
- Develop hardware-software interface definitions and co-ordinate with multi-disciplinary (Mechanical, Software, Systems etc) project team.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex technical problems.
- Review board design, participate in Non-Advocate Reviews.
- Strong in basics of analog, power electronics and digital circuits.
- Experience in design & testing of DC and AC motor control drives and high-power electronic circuits.
- Ability to understand the requirements and develop design architecture.
- Knowledge of typical power conversion architectures and product development processes.
- Ability to perform technical interactions with customers and resolving issues.
- Expertise in circuit analysis, power calculations, root cause analysis and debugging skills.
- Experience in using lab equipment like, Oscilloscopes, Load equipment, Power analyzers, AC/DC power sources etc.
- Knowledge and experience in DO-160 specifications & DO-254 compliant design process is preferred.
- Hardware design and development at board level for Motor Drives.
- Competent on selection & trade analysis of various Motor Drive Topologies and Devices such as MOSFETS, IGBT\xe2\x80\x99s, Silicon Carbide etc..
- Board layout review and guidance on high power motor drive in mixed signal environment.
