MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / ACTIVITES

Technical lead/Architect, Performance Testing and Engineering COE)

Mandatory Skills:

Performance Testing and Engineering Experience using Industry Standard tools


JMeter, LoadRunner, Performance Centre, SPLUNK/AppDynamics, Dynatrace and SQL Profiler

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic performance technical lead to help champion
best in class performance engineering practice at Vantive.
The individual will work with cross functional teams to assess/understand the application portfolio, its architecture and usage. Based on the information, gathered, he/she will then put together an on-going performance testing and engineering strategy. Post analysing the results from the testing, the Architect is expected to identify
performance bottlenecks and provide tuning and optimization recommendations.
The performance lead/architect is also expected to collaborate with product architects
during the requirement analysis phase of the SDLC and have conversations

regarding the NFRs and SLAs. He should be able to provide recommendations and

suggestions on the implementation strategy, based on the technology stack and

infrastructure to meet the NFRs.
This individual is expected to drive the initiatives across product development to
improve the performance of the products, release over release. The performance

lead should have a deep understanding of performance engineering principles.

Job Responsibilities:

Work closely with the architects, developers and business solutions team to
develop and drive performance test strategy and plans.
Ensure quality for our customers by validating Performance, Stability, Scalability,
and Reliability
Coordinate the performance testing efforts including internal and external
resources, be on point to ensure all areas of the application are fully tested.
Provide leadership, performance feedback, mentoring, and coordinate
discussions, plans and deliver in a cross-geography setup.
Provide Best Practices and performance technical trainings to the team. Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the various
applications
Inform Management Team of testing status and provide final go/no-go
recommendations from a performance lens.
Research and help build out a scalable Performance Testing environment that is
logically and physically representative of production.
Perform detailed analysis on any bottlenecks found during test executions.

Professional Skill Requirement:

Lead deliveries via Performance labs setup in AWS Expert in building, evaluating and refactoring frameworks written primarily
around JMeter and Load Runner
Ability to review scripting in multiple languages and take the team in the
direction to use Python
Expertise in developing Robust Workload patterns using Production data. Expertise in performance Analysis and optimization of distributed multi-
threaded, database driven application.
Ability to analyse the performance issue starting from browser level to server
level using available monitoring tools like Fiddler, apache/tomcat logs, Splunk,

AppDynamics and others.
Handle multiple performance testing projects working on a global delivery
model.
Solid communication skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical
issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Established successful results working in a high demand and fast paced
environment.

Must have Skills:

Test Tools: Expert level experience in JMeter, LoadRunner and Performance Centre Experience in scripting using Web-HTTP/HTML, RDP, Java, Rest API, Micro Services, and Mobile protocols APM Tools: App Dynamics / SPLUNK Profiling tools: .Net Profilers (Dot trace)/Ants profiler, SQL Profiler Monitoring Analysis and Reporting: SPLUNK/Sumo logic Database: Good SQL tuning experience using SQL profiler, SQL concepts, understanding of DMV queries

Good to Have Skills:

Experience with cloud (AWS) and virtualization, automation Experience in APIs/Micro services Experience working in Shift-left/Shift Right approach Database management JIRA and Confluence Scripting/ automation experience in Python

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science, Information Systems or
relational functional field) and/or equivalent combination of education
Overall, 10-16 years of working experience in Performance Engineering Minimum of 4 years' experience using automated test tools for Functional and/or
Performance, Stability, Scalability, and Reliability testing using JMeter, Blaze meter, Load Runner, APM tools, Logging tools, etc.
Minimum 2+ years of experience in DB profiling and optimizations
