Job Description

A Play School Teacher develops and implements creative, age-appropriate activities (songs, games, crafts) to foster early learning, social skills, and emotional growth, while ensuring a safe, nurturing environment; key duties involve planning lessons, supervising playtime/meals, tracking progress, managing classroom routines, and communicating regularly with parents to support each child's holistic development. Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum & Instruction:

Develop and deliver engaging lessons using play-based learning, storytelling, music, and creative arts to teach basic concepts (colors, shapes, numbers).

Classroom Management:

Organize daily schedules, including nap/snack times, manage transitions, and maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment.

Child Development:

Observe and encourage social interaction, conflict resolution, self-esteem, and independence, helping children reach developmental milestones.

Parent Communication:

Maintain positive relationships, provide regular updates on child progress, and collaborate with parents to understand children's backgrounds.

Safety & Well-being:

Supervise children at all times, adhere to health/safety standards, and ensure basic needs like feeding and rest are met.

Collaboration:

Work with other educators to create enriching experiences and implement school-wide goals.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:

Patience, creativity, excellent communication, and problem-solving. Knowledge of child development principles and preschool education methods. Ability to act as a role model and mediator. Relevant degree or certifications (like CDA) often required.
Day-to-Day Activities:

Greeting children and preparing for the day. Leading group activities, songs, and storytelling. Supervising outdoor play and indoor free time. Assisting with meals, naps, and bathroom breaks. Documenting observations and communicating with parents
