Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant - Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Microsoft Stack - IIS/.NET/SQL Server/PowerShell)
We are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer with experience of deep, hands-on experience designing, building, and optimizing high-volume Microsoft technology platforms. The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise across Windows Server, IIS, enterprise .NET applications, SQL Server, and PowerShell automation, with a strong track record in using observability solutions such as New Relic for mission-critical reliability, monitoring, and incident response.
Responsibilities
Lead the architecture, deployment, and continuous improvement of .NET applications on IIS to ensure maximum reliability, performance, and security.
Design, implement, and operate high-availability SQL Server environments, including clustering and disaster recovery (DR).
Develop, manage, and optimize advanced PowerShell scripts for automation of deployments, maintenance, health checks, and system recovery.
Deploy and leverage observability tools (preferably New Relic) for full-stack monitoring, distributed tracing, advanced alerting, dashboard creation, and proactive incident detection.
Analyze telemetry, perform root cause analysis, and drive permanent fixes for production incidents.
Architect and oversee CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and infrastructure as code for streamlined release management.
Mentor junior team members, champion SRE culture, and drive adoption of best practices in automation, monitoring, and operations.
Collaborate with architects, developers, and DBAs on platform scalability, optimization, and compliance.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience of increasing responsibilities in SRE focused on Microsoft platforms.
Expert knowledge of IIS management, .NET application deployment, and performance optimization.
Advanced administration skills for SQL Server, including HA/DR, performance tuning, and secure backup/restore.
Mastery of PowerShell scripting for complex automation tasks.
Significant experience with observability/APM tools, preferably New Relic, including setup, customization, and advanced usage for enterprise monitoring.
Expertise in designing, building, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and automated release processes.
Demonstrated leadership in major incident management, postmortem reviews, and operational process improvement.
Strong verbal, written, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Familiarity with Azure or hybrid cloud deployments at scale.
Experience with Windows Server clustering, load balancing, and enterprise security practices.
Professional certifications (Microsoft, Azure, New Relic, etc.).
In-depth understanding of distributed systems, high-volume architectures, and enterprise operations.
