Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant, Senior DevOps Engineer

As a Senior DevOps Engineer in the Digital Engineering unit, you will be part of a fast-paced team designing, developing, integrating and supporting integration solutions for some of our Fortune 500 customers. You will leverage your formal education in the relevant field and your professional experience to apply professional concepts to work on targeted tasks. You will follow standard practices and procedures applicable in your area of work to complete your task/deliverable with high quality under limited supervision. Your established aptitude to achieve this while supporting other members of the team and improving your own knowledge and skills will define success for your role.

Responsibilities

\xc2\xb7 Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and tools required for our software development and deployment processes.

\xc2\xb7 Preparing the lifecycle for different projects inclusive of research, evaluation, design, development

\xc2\xb7 Providing technical expertise for every aspect of the software and participating in design execution activities; analyzing, documenting, reviewing and revising software requirements and specifications

\xc2\xb7 Establishing and ensuring adherence to software development standards and processes along with best practices for the delivery of scalable and high-quality software

\xc2\xb7 Participate into the teams to find automation opportunities and draft execution plan

\xc2\xb7 Working closely with projects leads to monitoring, evaluating and ensuring the completion of tasks and projects.

\xc2\xb7 Exercising independent judgment and discretion in overall project execution by prioritizing, planning, help tracking project progress and reporting to project lead/stakeholders

\xc2\xb7 Involved in strategic plans to accomplish technical as well as business objectives with leadership chain, team and with customers.

\xc2\xb7 Contributing to your practice/BU by:

i. Documenting your learnings from the current work to produce an artifact such as an internal Wiki, a blog or a best practice document

ii. Team building activities like induction programs and work with mentors and lead to drive the team towards career excellence and productivity.

iii. Actively participating in BU/Practice level activities and events related to learning, formal training, interviewing, special projects, POC etc.

\xc2\xb7 Essential functions:

i. Conduct defective triage calls with onshore counterparts.

ii. Working with all stake holders to ensure that the Project requirements are reviewed and agreed upon.

iii. Generating crisp and easily understandable Daily Status, Weekly status and Sprint Level Status Reports for internal and external stakeholders

iv. Finding and requesting for behavioral, functional, non-functional training needs for self and the team

v. Coordinate activities which enforce Development improvements, CI and CD

vi. Awareness to all the stake holders for the various risks

vii. Participate in several Development and Operations processes continuously.

viii. Contribute to data points on a regular basis.

• Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical

\xc2\xb7 Technical Skills: Jenins. Kubernetes, terraform GitHub, AWS cloud, scripting in Shell or Python, AWS certification.

\xc2\xb7 Industry Type: Product Development

\xc2\xb7 Functional Area: IT Software - Application Programming, Maintenance

Preferred qualifications

\xc2\xb7 Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for software development projects using tools like Jenkins, GitHub CI

\xc2\xb7 Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet to provision and manage infrastructure resources in on-premises and cloud environments.

\xc2\xb7 Exposure to AWS cloud hosting platforms.

\xc2\xb7 Experience with Infrastructure automation like Chef, Puppet, Terraform

\xc2\xb7 Hands on Experience in cloud migration

\xc2\xb7 Mandatory: Multiple years of Hands-on experience in at least one tool in each of the below categories

\xc2\xb7 Automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell.

\xc2\xb7 Develop and maintain security best practices for on-premises and cloud infrastructure and applications.

\xc2\xb7 Work with stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Knowledgeable on SDLC, unit testing frameworks

\xc2\xb7 Experience with software development tools and standards e.g., coding conventions, best practices, design patterns as well as development methodologies e.g., waterfall, iterative, agile

\xc2\xb7 Excellent logical/analytical, problem-solving skills and a good Team player. Should be able to work in a team as well as an individual contributor.
