Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant - IT WPS Packaging & PowerShell scripting specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled The Application Packaging & PowerShell Scripting Specialist in Workplace Services (WPS) is responsible for creating, testing, deploying, and maintaining application packages while developing automation scripts to enhance endpoint management, operational efficiency, and overall user experience. This role requires strong technical skills in packaging, scripting, troubleshooting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
Application Packaging
Build, test, and deploy application packages using tools such as Intune Win32 App Packaging, MSI, AppX, and PowerShell scripting.
Maintain packaging standards aligned with enterprise best practices and security requirements.
Automate repetitive packaging and deployment tasks to improve efficiency.
Perform regular patching of applications using tools such as Patch My PC, SCCM (if applicable), or Intune-based deployment.
PowerShell Scripting & Automation

• Develop advanced PowerShell scripts to automate operational tasks, system configurations, and application deployments.
• Build reusable automation modules for lifecycle management of endpoints (Intune/SCCM/Windows).
• Integrate PowerShell automation with APIs, cloud platforms, and enterprise tools.
• Optimize existing scripts for performance, error handling, and reusability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Security, Infrastructure, Desktop Engineering, and ServiceDesk teams to ensure seamless rollout of applications and policies.
Provide technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge transfer to operational teams.
Participate in major IT projects (OS migrations, endpoint security enhancements, application rollouts).
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Relevant years of experience in Microsoft Intune or Endpoint Manager administration.
Strong knowledge of Azure AD, Autopilot, Conditional Access, and device compliance.
Hands-on expertise in application packaging (MSI, Intunewin, scripts) and patching.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
Experience with endpoint management tools like SCCM, JAMF, or other MDM solutions (good to have).
Understanding of Windows OS internals, registry, services, and application dependencies.
Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Experience with macOS packaging or JAMF.
Familiarity with cloud-based PC environments (Azure Virtual Desktop, Cloud PC).
Exposure to security tools like Defender for Endpoint, BitLocker, or compliance frameworks.
Industry certifications: MD-102, MS-101, AZ-104, ITIL, or similar.
ITIL Foundation Certification (preferred)
Strong leadership and team facilitation abilities
Excellent time management and task prioritization
Focused on driving continuous improvement and automation
Collaborative, transparent, and proactive communicator
Ability to balance technical depth with business context
