At WSP, the Intelligent Infrastructure team (ITS, UK GCC) is seeking a Principal Consultant - Information Management (BIM) to join this established and experienced team working on exciting, large-scale projects. They will deliver innovative projects for the Transportation and Infrastructure Business.


As an Information Manager (BIM) within our Business Units, you will play a key role in helping our clients achieve their goals and outcomes. We expect you to have experience in project delivery, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well as part of a team.



This will include the implementation of the UK BIM Framework, including ISO19650 Series, along with regional-specific BIM standards within your allocated projects. Additionally, you will also be able to.

As an Information Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our digital content is produced, stored, shared and exploited using the latest technologies and practices. Establish, manage, and control the Common Data Environment. Provides input to the definition of Project BEP and liaises with the team members in all matters related to BEP delivery and assurance. ??
Undertake the functions of effective information management as part of the team in accordance with ISO 19650 throughout project lifecycles. Develops and assures Package Task Information Delivery Plan (TIDP)/ Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP). Quality assurance of project information delivery against the BEP and IM framework requirements. ??
Provide technical advice on software and technology involved in the delivery of projects to the BIM processes and workflows. Liaise with the team members for project delivery. Assesses capability and training needs, proactively implementing training and support. Recognize emerging technologies, opportunities and solutions that support our Clients and Project Delivery. Quality assurance of project information delivery against the BEP and IM framework requirements Participate in team meetings, project meetings and other networking forums.
Key Competencies / Skills


Proven experience in a technical and/or engineering space with a thorough understanding of project information management principles and application Minimum of 5-10 years of experience working in the Construction or Engineering industry Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in managing design coordination meetings between different disciplines. Proficient in reviewing and creating client EIRs and developing BEPs. Proficient in understanding the ISO 19650 series, as well as regional-specific Building Information Modelling (BIM) standards. Good organisation skills and an ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Experience in ensuring the fundamental compliance in Information Management according to the UK BIM Framework is preferred. Knowledge of transportation design processes within a multi-disciplinary engineering environment is preferred. A professional certification with sufficient experience in BIM technology. Expert knowledge of Common Data Environment (CDE), such as ACC and ProjectWise. An interest in project leadership.

Bachelor's/master's degree in civil, Mechanical or Electrical. Minimum 5 years' experience in digital delivery of complex, multidisciplinary projects (Information Management/BIM). Membership in IET, PMI, or other professional forums. ??
Information Management certification by a relevant institution, e.g. BRE, Operam Academy, RICS, etc.
