Principal Consultant,

Database

Developer

SQL Server

)

In this role,

y

ou will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and stakeholders, to deliver high-quality software solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support strategic business

objectives

.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document functional and technical requirements related to P&C insurance operations.

Provide post-deployment support and troubleshooting

assistance

to address any issues or anomalies

encountered

during system implementation.

Define system architecture, data schemas, and integration patterns to ensure seamless communication between various components and external systems.

Evaluate third-party software solutions and APIs for potential integration with existing systems, assessing compatibility and suitability for the organization's needs.

Create comprehensive documentation, including system architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and user manuals, to

facilitate

system maintenance and knowledge transfer.

Review code to ensure adherence to architectural standards, coding conventions, troubleshoot and security protocols.

Participate

in testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to

validate

system functionality and performance.

Collaborate with development teams to

provide

technical guidance and support throughout the software development lifecycle.

Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure database solutions to support business applications.

Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for high-performance data access.

Ensure data integrity through validation rules, referential constraints, and normalization techniques.

Perform regular troubleshooting, performance tuning, and maintenance of database systems.

Monitor database health and proactively resolve issues related to performance, availability, and security.

Create and

maintain

comprehensive documentation including data models, schema definitions, and operational procedures.

Collaborate with application developers and business analysts to align database design with functional requirements.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of database development practices.

Support deployment activities across development, staging, and production environments.

Experience working on Azure DevOps tool.

Excellent understanding & Hands-on experience of Terraform, Azure infra

build

, CI/CD pipeline setup for applications.

Experience in Azure Kubernetes, App Service, Function app, Logic app application deployment through Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline.

Strong

proficiency

in SQL Server.

Experience with query optimization, indexing strategies, and execution plan analysis.

Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehousing, and reporting tools.

Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.

Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and DevOps tools is a plus.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience with version control tools like Git.

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
