We are looking for a highly experienced individual contributor and strategic AWS Cloud Architect to implement the transformation of our legacy and on-premises systems into a modern, scalable cloud infrastructure. This role plays a pivotal part in driving our cloud migration strategy. You will be responsible for designing enterprise-grade cloud solutions on AWS, contributing to governance frameworks, and collaborating for DevOps and automation practices. Ideal candidates will have deep AWS expertise, experience in enterprise cloud migrations, and strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills.Key Responsibilities: Application Assessment & Migration Planning Conduct detailed technical assessments of existing applications to determine cloud readiness and migration strategies Analyze application dependencies, integrations, and data flows to design migration sequences Develop application-specific migration blueprints including refactoring recommendations Create detailed technical migration plans with timelines, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies Cloud Strategy & Architecture Collaborate to implement enterprise cloud strategies leveraging AWS architecture best practices and the well architected framework Design secure, scalable, and cost-optimized AWS-based solutions to support business needs Lead the migration of on-premise systems to AWS using lift-and-shift, replatforming, refactoring and the other migration patterns as needed Solution Design & Implementation Architect and design high-availability and disaster recovery solutions on AWS Build serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB Design and manage microservices-based applications using Docker, ECS, and EKS in a cost-effective manner Designing for scalability and optimal performance, considering factors like load balancing, caching, and resource allocation Lead and support database migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL on AWS, ensuring data integrity, performance tuning, and business continuity Security & Governance Collaborate and define cloud security policies and ensure alignment with compliance standards such as PCI-DSS, SOX, and GDPR Implement IAM, VPC design, encryption mechanisms, and logging and monitoring solutions DevOps & Automation Collaborate with DevOps for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) efforts using Terraform Enable CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and system observability using Jenkins, GitLab CI, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail Stakeholder Management & Collaboration Collaborate with global engineering, DevOps, and business teams to align solutions with organizational priorities Present architectural decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Provide technical mentorship and build cloud competency within distributed application and infrastructure teams Required Skills & Qualifications 15+ years of overall Industry experience with last 5+ years of experience as an Application Cloud Architect in a strategic IT leadership role leading application and infrastructure migration Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms (AWS), and deployment technologies using containerization like Docker, Kubernetes and ECS/EKS Solid understanding of distributed systems, message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and event-driven design Deep hands-on experience with AWS core services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation, CloudTrail Expert knowledge in Java programming language with proficiency in Java 17 or above Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, microservices, and API-led architecture Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP S/4HANA, and business process modeling Proficient in working with databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills Strong analytical thinking with a balanced technical and business perspective Education: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
