Job description The Principal will provide strategic, academic, research, and administrative leadership to ensure excellence in education, research, governance, and institutional development in line with the University's mission and values. The role involves leading faculty and staff, fostering a culture of excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and service, and overseeing planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of academic programs per national and international standards.

Key Responsibilities



Strengthening the research ecosystem through high-quality publications in Scopus/Web of Science-indexed journals,



facilitating externally funded research from agencies such as DST, DBT, SERB, ICMR, ICSSR, and industry, and encouraging interdisciplinary and industry collaborations.



The Principal will drive initiatives to enhance national and international rankings and accreditations, including NIRF, NAAC, NBA, QS, and THE, improving indicators like research output, citations, faculty quality, student success, placements, and global engagement.



Responsibilities include timely submission of accreditation and compliance data, adherence to UGC, AICTE, and statutory regulations, transparent policy development, financial oversight, and strengthening relationships with students, alumni, industry, and regulators. Innovation in teaching-learning, outcome-based education, digital learning, and experiential education is encouraged.



Eligibility Criteria



Ph.D. with at least 10 years of experience as a Professo



Strong research credentials, including Q1/Q2 publications and externally funded research projects



Proven leadership experience in academic administration, rankings, and accreditation processes



Preferred Qualifications



IIT/NIT background (CSE/ECE), international collaborations, and experience in leading large institutions.



Reporting Reports to the Vice-Chancellor; tenure and compensation as per University norms.
