Job Description

As a Primary School Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to children in key stages of their early learning (typically ages 5-11). Your role involves creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment, designing lesson plans, and helping students develop academically, socially, and emotionally. You will play a key role in shaping young minds, instilling a love for learning, and fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

### Key Responsibilities:

- Lesson Planning and Teaching:

- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in line with the school's curriculum.

- Ensure lessons are engaging, interactive, and appropriate for the age group.

- Incorporate various teaching methods and materials to cater to diverse learning styles and needs.

- Provide differentiated instruction for students with varying abilities.

- Classroom Management:

- Create a positive, safe, and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning.

- Implement strategies to manage behavior and promote good conduct.

- Encourage student participation and foster a love for learning.

- Assessing and Monitoring Student Progress:

- Regularly assess and track students' progress through formal and informal methods (tests, assignments, observations).

- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic achievements and areas for improvement.

- Use data to plan and adapt lessons to meet the needs of individual students.

- Student Support:

- Identify students who may need extra help and provide support to address academic or personal challenges.

- Foster emotional and social development by encouraging positive behavior and interpersonal skills.

- Promote inclusion and diversity in the classroom.

- Collaboration and Professional Development:

- Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and parents to support student achievement and well-being.

- Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and training opportunities.

- Stay updated with the latest teaching strategies, educational resources, and curriculum changes.

- Administrative Duties:

- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.

- Communicate regularly with parents about student progress, concerns, and school events.

- Safeguarding:

- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all students in your care.

- Comply with the school's safeguarding policies and report any concerns as required.

### Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Education, Primary Education, or a related field.

- Relevant teaching certification (e.g., QTS - Qualified Teacher Status in the UK, State Teacher Certification in other regions).

- Experience in teaching primary school students is desirable.

- Knowledge of child development and teaching best practices.

- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

### Working Conditions:

- Full-time position, typically 35-40 hours per week.

- Classroom environment with a need to stand and interact with students for extended periods.

- Occasional evening or weekend events (parent-teacher meetings, school events).
