Primary Teacher

Job Summary

The Primary Teacher is responsible for teaching students in grades 1-5 by delivering engaging lessons that support academic, social, emotional, and moral development in accordance with the school curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans aligned with the prescribed curriculum Teach subjects such as English, Mathematics, EVS, Science, and Social Studies (as assigned) Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment Assess and evaluate students' academic progress through tests, assignments, and observations Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student performance Provide individual attention and support to students with varying learning abilities Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and behavior Encourage discipline, good values, and responsible behavior Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and school activities Support co-curricular and extracurricular activities

Qualifications

Teaching experience at primary level preferred

Skills & Competencies

Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Patience, dedication, and enthusiasm for teaching Ability to use teaching aids and basic educational technology Child-centered and activity-based teaching approach
