Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons in History, Geography, Civics, and related Social Sciences.
Use diverse teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
Integrate real-world examples, maps, visuals, and technology in lessons.
Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, activities, and assessments per curriculum requirements.
Encourage student participation through discussions, debates, projects, and presentations.
Evaluate student performance regularly and maintain accurate records.
Classroom Management
Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
Apply effective classroom discipline and student engagement strategies.
Encourage respect, cooperation, and responsible behavior among students.
Student Support
Provide academic guidance, remedial sessions, and individualized support when needed.
Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with parents/guardians.
Motivate students to develop curiosity, analytical skills, and social awareness.
Curriculum & Professional Development
Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum and teaching practices.
Participate in workshops, training programs, and school meetings.
Update teaching materials to reflect current events, societal changes, and modern pedagogical techniques.
Administrative Duties
Maintain class records, attendance, and student portfolios.
Prepare report cards and participate in parent-teacher meetings.
Support school events, field trips, and co-curricular activities related to Social Studies.
Qualifications & SkillsEducational Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Studies, History, Geography, Political Science, or related field.
B.Ed or equivalent teaching certification is preferred.

Strong subject knowledge in History, Geography, Civics, and Social Sciences.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

Experience
1-3 years of teaching experience preferred (freshers with strong subject knowledge may also apply).
