Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Teach all core subjects (English, Math, EVS/Science, Social, and Language as applicable) for Grades 1-5. Plan and deliver engaging, activity-based lessons aligned with the school curriculum. Create lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and learning materials. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and participation. Maintain classroom discipline and ensure student safety. Assess student performance through classwork, projects, tests, and observations. Provide individual attention, remedial support, and enrichment activities. Use smartboard, digital tools, storytelling, and creative methods to enhance learning. Communicate student progress during PTMs and maintain academic records.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (B.A / B.Sc) with B.Ed - preferred. D.Ed / TTC candidates can also be considered. Experience of 1-3 years in teaching primary classes preferred. Strong command over core subjects and child psychology.

Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Ability to teach through activities, play-way, and interactive methods. Patience, creativity, and a child-friendly approach. Strong planning, organization, and documentation skills. Proficiency with smart classroom tools and basic technology. Ability to handle young learners with empathy and care.

Additional Responsibilities:

Conduct remedial classes, practice sessions, and learning support. Prepare question papers, correction work, and class documentation. Coordinate class assemblies, celebrations, and school events. Participate in training programs, workshops, and staff meetings. Support annual functions, competitions, and academic planning.
