Job Summary:
The Primary Science Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and inquiry-based Science lessons aligned with the Cambridge Primary Curriculum. The teacher will nurture scientific curiosity, develop conceptual understanding, and encourage hands-on learning through experiments and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver Science lessons in alignment with the Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary Curriculum Frameworks.
Create a stimulating and safe learning environment that encourages curiosity and experimentation.
Use inquiry-based learning approaches to develop scientific skills such as observing, predicting, questioning, investigating, and drawing conclusions.
Integrate technology, experiments, and real-world examples into teaching.
Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and learning resources according to Cambridge standards.
Assess students' progress through formative and summative evaluations and maintain accurate records.
Provide regular feedback to students and parents on academic performance.
Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaborative learning among students.
Participate in school events, science fairs, and professional development programs.
Work collaboratively with other teachers to support cross-curricular learning.
Ensure classroom management, discipline, and student well-being.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Science / Education; B.Ed. mandatory.
Preferred: Master's degree in Science or Education with specialization in Primary or Elementary Education.
Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of teaching experience in a Cambridge or International curriculum school.
Strong understanding of Cambridge Primary Science Framework (Stages 1-6).
Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with inquiry-based and experiential learning methodologies.
Proficiency in digital tools and learning platforms.
