Primary Science Teacher

To deliver high-quality science education to primary-aged students, fostering curiosity, investigative thinking, and a strong foundation in scientific knowledge. The role involves planning, teaching, assessing, and inspiring young learners to explore the world through scientific concepts and hands-on experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate science lessons in accordance with the national curriculum or school guidelines. Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes inquiry-based learning. Develop lesson plans that integrate cross-curricular links and practical, hands-on investigations. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including those with special educational needs or English as an additional language. Use a variety of assessment strategies to monitor student progress and provide timely feedback. Manage classroom behavior in accordance with school policies. Maintain accurate records of student achievement and report progress to parents and school leadership. Participate in parent-teacher conferences, staff meetings, and professional development activities. Organize and oversee science-related events, field trips, or extracurricular clubs. Ensure the safe and proper use of scientific equipment and materials in accordance with health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

A recognized teaching qualification. A degree in Education or a science-related subject is desirable. Proven experience teaching science in a primary school setting. Knowledge of the primary science curriculum and current educational practices.
