Job Description

An ICSE Primary Principal plays a pivotal role in leading and managing the primary section of a school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). This position encompasses both academic leadership and administrative management to ensure the effective delivery of the ICSE curriculum and the overall development of students.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership

: Develop and implement the school's vision, mission, and goals with a focus on inclusive and accessible education. Ensure effective implementation of the ICSE curriculum across all primary grades.

Staff Management

: Recruit, hire, and train new school staff. Supervise and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff, providing professional development opportunities.

Student Welfare

: Oversee the education and welfare of all students, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment. Handle disciplinary matters and implement behavior management programs.

Curriculum and Instruction

: Manage the development of curriculum and set performance goals for teachers and students. Work closely with teachers to improve teaching methods.

Parental and Community Engagement

: Meet with parents and teachers to discuss students' progress and behavior. Foster relationships with the community to support school programs.

Administrative Duties

: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school, including scheduling, facility management, and resource allocation. Manage the school's budget and ensure compliance with educational regulations.
Qualifications & Experience

Educational Background

: Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed.) or a related field. A Master's degree in Education or a relevant discipline is often preferred.

Experience

: Minimum of 5 years of experience in educational leadership roles, preferably as a principal or assistant principal in a primary school setting.

Skills

: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools.

Curriculum Knowledge

: In-depth understanding of the ICSE curriculum and its implementation in the primary education context.
