Job Description

As a Primary Mathematics Teacher (PRT), you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective mathematics instruction to students in the primary grades.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver age-appropriate math lessons aligned with the school's curriculum. Employ diverse teaching strategies: visual aids, games, group activities to enhance conceptual understanding. Assess student performance through quizzes, assignments, and observations, providing timely feedback. Identify and support students who need extra assistance through intervention strategies. Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit periodic reports. Participate in parent-teacher conferences, sharing insights and strategies for improvement. Promote a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and confidence.

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualification:

Graduation/Post Graduation B.Ed or equivalent (especially with a math specialization)

Experience

Prior experience teaching mathematics at the primary level is highly desirable. Good computer skills are

preferable

--including use of smart boards, MS Office, and basic educational software.

Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of child psychology and primary-level pedagogy. Excellent communication skills and classroom management. Proficiency in using teaching aids, including digital tools or smart boards. Passion for making math accessible and enjoyable for young learners.
