This position is responsible for a) Strategically leading end to end Mars Snacking logistics operations across Manufacturing, Co-pack, Co-man and Supply plants (3-4 in numbers) to distribution centers across the country (16-17 in numbers) sites b) Devising warehouse strategy and running efficient warehouse operations in compliance with company's policies & vision.
This role ensures seamless movement and storage of raw materials, packaging materials and finished goods while optimizing cost, vendor performance, and regulatory compliance.
Job Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include the following across Mars Snacking sites :
Raw & Pack Warehousing Management
Oversee storage and inventory control of raw materials and packaging
Ensure timely availability of inputs to support uninterrupted production schedules.
Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
Implement SOPs for material handling, safety, and traceability.
Finished Goods Logistics
Manage inbound & outbound movement of finished goods from factories to central and regional warehouses.
Coordinate dispatch planning, vehicle scheduling, and delivery tracking to meet service level targets.
Align logistics flows with demand forecasts and market deployment plans.
Vendor & Cost Management
Lead commercial negotiations and performance reviews for warehousing and freight vendors.
Monitor logistics spend, identify cost-saving opportunities, and drive budget adherence.
Ensure vendor compliance with service agreements, safety norms, and regulatory standards.
People Management
Leads a team of Factory Logistics Managers and warehousing team
Provides safe workplace for all associates and contractors at all the times
Supports team in delivering high performance & contributes to their development
Process Excellence & Compliance
Drive continuous improvement in logistics operations through digitalization, automation, KPI tracking, and root cause analysis.
Ensure adherence to GST, FSSAI, and other applicable regulatory frameworks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate NQC risks and optimize supply chain reliability.

Graduate in any discipline
Diploma/PG Diploma/MBA Supply Chain & Operations
Knowledge & Experience
8 years + Experience with Excellent communication Skills
Should have led Logistics for an FMCG company
Adept on Excel/PPT skills & comfortable with numbers/Data Analysis
* Experience of a Software platform/ERP will be an advantage
