Job Description

The Primary English Teacher is responsible for developing students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills through engaging and age-appropriate lessons. The teacher should foster a love for the English language while ensuring that students achieve academic excellence in line with the school's curriculum standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Delivery

Plan, prepare, and deliver effective English lessons aligned with the school's academic plan and curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/State Board as applicable). Use interactive and creative teaching methods to make learning enjoyable and effective. Integrate grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and creative writing exercises into daily lessons.

Student Engagement & Development

Encourage active participation and critical thinking in students. Conduct reading sessions, storytelling, role plays, and language games to enhance communication skills. Identify and support students with varying abilities through differentiated instruction.

Assessment & Evaluation

Design and administer class tests, assignments, and examinations. Maintain accurate records of students' progress and provide timely feedback. Prepare report cards and participate in parent-teacher meetings.

Classroom Management

Maintain discipline and a positive classroom environment conducive to learning. Foster respect, confidence, and teamwork among students.

Professional Contribution

Collaborate with colleagues for cross-curricular activities and events. Participate in school functions, assemblies, competitions, and English Week celebrations. Attend training sessions, workshops, and meetings as required by the management.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in English / Literature / Education (B.A. English with B.Ed. preferred). Minimum 2-3 years of teaching experience in primary classes. Strong command over English language (spoken and written).

Excellent communication and presentation skills. Passion for teaching and motivating young learners. Ability to use digital tools and smart classroom aids effectively. Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude.
